As a senior surveyor, you will provide advice to clients on legislative, regulatory, and common law principles related to boundaries, and historical boundary documents and survey practices and methodologies. Identify common law principles and mechanisms for boundary dispute resolution. In addition, you will prepare land descriptions and research reports; this work includes verifying the quality of boundary surveys, ensuring Provincial and CLS survey standards are met and proposing solutions to address deficiencies in boundary surveys. You will prepare requests for proposals for survey related contracts, developing in-house estimates of costs, evaluation and approval activities. You may organize, plan and conduct routine field surveys including inspections. You will develop and deliver boundary presentations at professional conferences and to clients groups as well as provide recommendations on the amendment of standards, survey guidelines procedures and policies for the regulation of legal land surveys.
